The Definition of Photosynthesis
Okay, the definition of photosynthesis is mainly to make food for the plant. The process of photosynthesis is at the leaves(with gas exchange through stomatas)and the food carrying tubes transports the food to other parts of the plant.Photosynthesis occurs with the presence of sunlight and takes in carbon dioxide, it gives out oxygen and produce food.
I hope there's nothing wrong with the definition of photosynthesis...Actually, I wrote photosynthesise in my bklet B for my sci exam paper but I don't know why it's marked wrong, so I asked Charis how to spell it.I didn't even know when someone was writing down my name on the board...

It's the leaves that take in carbon dioxide, give out oxygen and make food.
Stomata is in plural form. Stoma or stomate is in singular form. Hence, 1 stoma and many stomata. The word "stomatas" doesn't exist.
Other examples include 1 bacterium and many bacteria, 1 ovum (egg) and many ova (eggs).
Photosynthesis is a process while photosynthesise or photosynthesize is an action. That is why you're wrong.
