Auld Lang Syne.....
Auld lang syne
Should auld aquintance be forgot
and never brought to mind?
Should auld aquintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup kindness yet,
for auld lang syne....
"Auld lang syne " in scottish means "the good old days"or "long time ago". It is supposed to be a poem written partially by Robertr Burns in the 1700s. It was later published in 1796 after Burns' death. By singing this song it means basically " don't forget the good times we had in Maths class" or remember the time in Social Studies when we all fell asleep (not that this happened, I'm just taking this as an example)."
So, guys, hope all of us will remember the good times we had this year in 5 honesty!!

I learned this song in primary school too. It's always emphasised during the new year. (1st Jan)
It's actually a very touching song. If you sing it with feelings, you may even drop some tears because of the rythm.
Joslyn, great job for indicating the origin of the song.
